hi,
I am using dnsomatic.com to update my dynamic IP address. They offer a service for desec, but I have a feeling it’s wrongly implemented. It looks like it’s trying to set the TTL to 60 seconds and that poses a problem.
Every time I update, I get an error:
“Request was throttled. Expected available in 57 seconds.” (the time varies, but I can never update)
Is this a known problem from their update client, or is it something I’m doing wrong?

You can send dynDNS updates to deSEC no more frequently than once per minute. Further attempts within the next 60 seconds will trigger that error message, so this indicates that several updates are being attempted.
In any case, the first update should succeed. If that’s not the case, please contact support with more detailed information so that we can locate the problem (likely a configuration issue though).
