Hello, I recently bought a google domain and I would like to link it to deSEC and use ddns with the google domain. But I’m afraid I can’t do it properly, could you help me? thank you
I have no experience with Goggle Domains specifically. But in general your Registrar (Google in your case) needs to allow you to change the following:
- NS glue records. (This seems possible, see Manage domain name servers - Google Domains Help)
Note: The NS glue records for your domain need to be set in the parent domain. But I would guess that happens automatically as changing the NS records in your domain only would make no sense otherwise.
- DS records in the parent domain. (See Set up DNSSEC security - Google Domains Help)
Note that Google Domains also offers DNSSEC. (But there are many possible reasons for not wanting to use their DNS servers, such as privacy concerns, tracking, API, DDNS, etc. So I can understand wanting to use deSEC instead.)
