IP address 8.8.8.8 not allowed

Newly registered dedyn.io domain, when i try to set A record and AAAA record,
AAAA record works well, but A record shows : IP address 8.8.8.8 not allowed.
how can i do? thanks.

What are you trying to do? Setting an A record to 8.8.8.8 which is owned by Google, not yourself, does not make much sense. If you need a hostname for that address use the one Google provides: dns.google. Much safer and no potential legal issues either.

Also, I just successfully added an A record with that IP to a zone (not dedyn.io though) using the web interface. So that begs the question: how did you try to set the A record and where exactly did you encounter the error message?

For domains under dedyn.io, there are limitations to which IP addresses can be used, based on malicious registrations we’ve seen before.

8.8.8.8 is not the best example for maliciousness; if someone has a reasonable use case we’ll unblock it.

Stay secure,
