Unable to propagate

cname and txt for my new managed domain ;;; there is no options in the dashboard

From your rather sparse post, and the misleading subject*, I am guessing that you wish to add CNAME and TXT RRsets to your zone using the web interface, correct? And that you can’t figure out, how to do that? (If that is not your question, please clarify.)

*) I don’t see what propagation has to do with your question?

  1. Log into your account using the LOGIN button on https://desec.io.
  2. Click on the domain in the list that appears. You should now see all RRsets in that zone.
  3. Click the + button in the upper right of the window. An input form should appear.
  4. Click on the Record Set Type popup and choose CNAME or TXT or anything else you need. You could even type in the record set type, replacing the default A.
  5. Continue to fill out the form and click SAVE when done.
  6. Done. Repeat from step 3 as needed.
  7. Finally log out using the LOG OUT button in the upper right of the window.

If you need to add a record to an existing RRset, you can do that directly in the list using the + add another value button.

After making your changes, propagation comes into play: The master name server propagates the changes to the frontend servers. And depending on TTLs and cached values the state of the RRsets at the frontend servers propagates to the DNS resolvers you are using.
