Here is a guide on how to set up deSEC nameservers and DNSSEC on Namecheap.

  1. Set up your domain on deSEC

  2. In your Namecheap control panel, go to your domain list, then the domain tab, and at Nameservers, choose Custom DNS:

  3. Enter the nameservers (copy them from the deSEC panel to be sure you have the right ones):

  4. Open the Setup Instructions from the deSEC panel

  5. Copy the DS Format information to the Namecheap panel.

  6. Remember to save!

  7. (Optional) after some hours (or days), check your dnssec at https://dnssec-analyzer.verisignlabs.com/

Note: Namecheap only supports DS keys for DNSSEC.

Not supported:
.africa, .cm, .com.sg, .de, .eu, .nl, .ph, .sg, .so, .to, .com.au, .net.au, .org.au, handshake domains

For .nl the registry should support DS keys in 25Q1, which will get DNSSEC working for Namecheap and deSEC.
