Request for more domain zones

Hi @peter ! On my deSEC account, I would like to have my domain limit increased for a project that offers free subdomains, similar to your dedyn.io service, but using my own domain.

I currently use hnet.ddns.ge for my main zone, but I don’t own ddns.ge. It is owned by DNSHE, a free subdomain provider that gave me control over my subdomain. However, they do not allow DNSSEC, unlike deSEC, as shown in the deSEC “Add new zone/domain” menu:

“Domain limit exceeded. Delegate all of your domains to us securely (with DNSSEC) to make the limit grow.”

I would like to use deSEC for the DNS of my project and provide free subdomains with DNSSEC support. Could you please increase my domain limit so I can add more domain zones?

Also, the domain limit is now adjusted automatically based on the number of securely delegated domains already in the account.

That is not possible without secure delegation. DNSSEC requires secure delegation.

It also does not seem to be in the best interest of deSEC e.V. to enable you to do this.

The deSEC software stack is Open Source. To achieve your objective, you could host your own copy using your own domains.
